Dawn | Fall Casual Shooting

Dawn - Serenity

Fall weather and scenery is just plain beautiful, and it makes for a stunning backdrop for portraiture. A new Atlanta model Dawn contacted me about shooting, so we threw out the idea of doing a simple fall casual shoot. What is fall casual? It’s pretty much walk around somewhere and see what you get using fall colors as your backdrop. This shoot was a great time to break out an old favorite pair of lenses, the Canon 35 1.4L and the Canon 85 1.2L II, major lenses for wedding but have been gathering dust for a little. You see the shallower depth of field from the 85 1.2L II in many of the shots. All in all it was a fun day shooting with Dawn. She is an absolute hoot, and wow what a fun personality.

Without further ado here are some more samples from my shoot, but also check out my flickr link here

Sharp shots as always Trent… only thing I noticed was the shot with her under the tree (“Dawn – Yellow”) a reflector or strobe to brighten Dawn would’ve probably made it even more awesome. Just a thought.
